2023 Director Election
Petition Period May 10 - July 12, 2023
Members interested in serving on the board of directors may begin filing nominating petitions for the 2023 election at 8 a.m. Wednesday, May 10. The petition period closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12.
The election will be decided by a vote of members. Advance voting period takes place from Aug.11 - Sept.11. In-person voting takes place from 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. at annual meeting on Sept. 13.
Each year, one board member from each of the three districts is up for election. The expiring terms in 2023 are currently held by Janice Dorson (District 1), Debbie Willette (District 2) and Joe Cason (District 3). Members interested in becoming candidates should review the cooperative's Bylaws, especially Article IV "Directors" for more information about the duties and responsibilities of the position. Potential candidates should review Article IV Section 4 about the qualifications for director candidates. District representation is based on the permanent residence of the candidate. NEW in 2023: July 25 Meet the Candidates Event
Candidates in contested races will have the opportunity to meet voters before the voting period begins in August. The open house will take place at the co-op headquarters from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25.
